HackRF One can theoretically do everything YARDStick One can do, it is a matter of writing software to perform the CC11xx modem functions on the host. The benefit of YS1 over those is the improved radio section, the evaluation kits use chip antennas which I believe are designed for one of the bands supported by the CC11xx. Assuming that you are using your CC1101 module with RFCat, the software interface will be the same as YS1. I do not know of any YS1 specific tools, although I presume that it would be possible for some to be written in the future (as far as I know we do not plan to write any YS1-only tools, we prefer to use RFCat as the basis for work with YS1).
