This list sounds about right to my mind also. I think we can postpone groups 
implementation for now, unless someone requires it immediately.
The current implementation lets entities work as root; to enforce 
compatibility, default permissions are 0777, and files are owned by root.
I am adding the Unix UID to be the ID used to issue DFS requests. This way, 
users are represented by IDs and IDs management is handled outside Hadoop by 
the underlying Unix.
