I was minorly upset at being told to give him a break, on the grounds that he was drunk and therefore deserved sympathy. But as you say, the remedy is in my own hands. I have survived for well over half a century without ever giving someone a break because he or she was drunk. I can continue to survive. I can simply ignore Peter B.'s existence, and he can ignore mine. That way we should both be happy.
