All kiddie aside though, usability is not an issue that should be short
thrifted.  Free Software programs are actually, in the real world,
easier to install, even from code, than gate-ware.  And I've seen a
number of projects fail because usability wasn't adequately paid
attention to.

What is weird about this conversation is when I talk to the Gnome
Foundation, I'm arguing the opposite.  their stuff is so tightly bound
up that it is both user fool proof and configurable.
