What did you do to fix this? Renew the IP address?
I've found that works if the all the settings for that NIC are on automatic but in this case they appeared to have been placed manually & incorrectly when compared to the router which was acting as a DHCP server. I changed everything back to automatic but I could've manually put in the correct values as well.
