Greg, Thanks for the response. During the summer months I often see the CPU running at 65+ degrees C when room temp top 90-95 degrees F for several hours. This problem manifests itself when I am trying to do a cpu intensive project (such as recoding a video). I don't completely trust the temps reported by the motherboard so I don't want to push the 85 degree C limit AMD gives for this cpu. I have had re-boots and shutdowns with these high temps. Absent problems I won't worry so much and just increase the alarm threshold. Jim [EMAIL PROTECTED]
