If you want to persue absolute silence without much effort, here's a short list. Replace all fans in the case with Nexus 120mm fans http://www.silentpcreview.com/article695-page2.html#nexusActually, just use three of them (bottom by the PS, front intake, rear exhaust), and remove the top fan. The top fan exhaust is COMPLETLY pointless and only adds noise. For an easy mount replacement heatsink (as in you do not need to remove your mainboard to mount brackets underneath), get a Scythe Ninja. Extremely quiet and one of the best coolers on the market. http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/026/scnj1100p.html There is but one "better" heat sink out there, the Thermalright Ultra-120, in that it will cool your already cool cpu 1C more at high loads, but it requires you to mount brackets underneath your MB, a total pain in the ass. Many owners of your P18x case block off completely the top air vent to futher silent the case. The most common method (and easiest) is to tear off a chunk of styrofoam (from your recent newegg packaging), making sure the size is big enough to wedge underneath the fan mount of the vent. You can paint the blocking surface black with a sharpie marker or whatever and looks completely esthetically pleasing to the eye. Your biggest noisemaker now is your graphics card. There are better aftermarket coolers that will not only cool the 8800 better, but more silently as well. http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_product_hr03_plus.htm is the one I use. I mounted a Nexus 92mm fan on it and now my 8800 Ultra is more quiet than a stock cooler on an entry level card.
