Key word here is "without much effort"... I'll disagree on the silence of watercooling as well. The buzzing on some of the units is way too loud.

Many owners of your P18x case block off completely the top air vent to futher silent the case. The most common method (and easiest) is to tear off a chunk of styrofoam (from your recent newegg packaging), making sure the size is big enough to wedge underneath the fan mount of the vent. You can paint the blocking surface black with a sharpie marker or whatever and looks completely esthetically pleasing to the eye. Your biggest noisemaker now is your graphics card. There are better aftermarket coolers that will not only cool the 8800 better, but more silently as well. http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_product_hr03_plus.htm is the one I use.
