Why are there umpteen zillion versions?
Why is it known to be slower on the same hardware than is XP?
Most importantly, what does it do for me that XP doesn't?

Learning Vista? What the heck? If you don't like the or have

Windows Aero, you can set it to Windows XP look.
I had Vista's public beta or trial version for several months & while
one can even take it back to Windows Classic I still don't like it.
Why should some one pay money for an OS when it's little more than a
GUI change as compared to XP ? It certainly not any faster. As for the
improvement in the file manager they're no biggie as I've been using
Total Commander as opposed to Windows Exploder for years. I certainly
wouldn't upgrade XP to Vista & recently even when I had the chance to
get Vista Business instead of XP Pro I said no thanks.
Sorry but no sale here.
