Did a clean install of 08 for a customer and his tractor feed invoices did not maintain formatting when the qbb file was restored. Trying to find out where this might be. I had a similar problem with a clean install myself, a lot of my customized forms ( invoices ) lost their formatting and had to be re done.
I too have been using qb since dos, customer is not happy about not being able to get one free tax table download anymore as has always been the case in the past with new buys, and is the only reason he upgrades. They may have sold him his last upgrade. Myself, I do not do payroll so no big deal. At least they now offer a payroll deal of $99/year for up to 3 employees. I'm still using 05, I like the shortcut bar and it goes away in 06 and newer even with ppl begging intuit to bring it back.
