Right. But support from the vendor is still better than no support at all.

Community support is an iffy thing. I asked a simple question on the dd-wrt forums a few days ago and have not yet even had a response. I've had the same thing happen on the CentOS forums as well. Sometimes it's nice (or critical) to be able to pick up the phone and talk to a real human being about something.
