You mean you can't get the driver from Dell's site?

I got the driver, an Intel driver with a setup program that removes the old driver, cleans up and then reinstalls the new driver. The problem is that something is so screwed up that the new driver will not install. The driver install will not load the driver wether I use the setup program or do it manually.

i386 folder alone is not enough to do a reinstall of the OS AFAIK.

JRS was good enough to give me a DELL OEM CD so it looks like that will do it.

Well I may have to do this after all. One of the viruses seems to have seriously effected the Intel wireless adapator to the point where I can not load the driver. I don't have the Dell disk, nor any hope of getting it, but I do see the i386 directory on the C drive. Will that work? Just install from the hard drive with the key and then online activation... or will I have to call and explain to MS?
I may have to take you up on that offer Chris.
