We're talking about HTML code for rendering web pages which any browser is capable of. Most corporations still use XP Pro and Firefox is highly compatible with that OS. I don't have any problem with online banking from any version of Firefox and two different banks for 5-6 years now. There are some web sites that support IE exclusively and don't work properly on other browsers. That's the only time I ever use IE8 and I don't care for it's UI or politics. Opera is fine and I will install it from time to time when a new version comes out but without the useful Add-ons I will never switch from Firefox. I guess we agree that most businesses use IE.
IE Only intranet sites with things like ActiveX controls or written years ago in with IE 6 or even 5 in mind.
I use firefox myself, I prefer it, but there *ARE* many instances where FF is not a drop in replacement for IE.
