You don't you can put an end on it (the RJ45 tip) and then go from there.

Better to put a receptacle on it and patch from there if I understand
you right.

I did that once with a client; they trenched, we ran 4 different lines
thru a PVC pipe (redundancy - or ease to fish). Don't just drop the
line by itself though.
