The mobo in question actually uses the Realtek integrated nic. As does
the Gigabyte board I was previously looking at.

I tend to go with Gigabyte for Intel builds, but so far, I like the Asus
6-series boards better. They're UEFI (replaces BIOS) and the Pro and up
models use the long-integrated-but-rarely-used Intel NIC instead of some
piece of sh*t Realtek or Atheros. It actually costs more to use the built-in
NIC instead of a Realtek, but it's definitely a superior solution.

Anthony,
On the motherboards, I usually buy Asus. Reading through the reviews for
P67 chipsets, the Asus seemed like the winner at this point.
As for the graphics card, they all (EVGA, PNY, Gigabyte, Asus) seem
relatively close. Reading reviews, some seem to be noisier or run hotter.
The Asus also had a MIR on it. LOL. The one thing I was not sure about
on
the Asus is that it vents into the case.
If you have some other suggestions, I am open.
Thanks,
Bobby

Is there a reason you picked the Asus, Bobby?
