Thank you for this share. I have been an Intel-NIC fan-bois for years.
Yes, I still use/abuse my current on-board RealTek NICs also. ATM, just
because they cause no grief so far.
I am very grumpy about finding updated RealTek drivers (on-board) from
normal sources. Asus is confusing; RealTek is blindingly crazy!
I suppose that with NIC drivers, I have very little patience. My bad.
I spare semi-current Intel GB NICs for all my machines; just in
case........ :)

On the motherboards, I usually buy Asus. Reading through the reviews for
P67 chipsets, the Asus seemed like the winner at this point.
As for the graphics card, they all (EVGA, PNY, Gigabyte, Asus) seem
relatively close. Reading reviews, some seem to be noisier or run hotter.
The Asus also had a MIR on it. LOL. The one thing I was not sure about
on
the Asus is that it vents into the case.
If you have some other suggestions, I am open.
