I tried shorting the pins where the switch connects and can sometimes make
it power up. But then there is some alarm screaming at me. LOL.

I will check out the switch from Anthony's reply. If that does not fix it,
I guess it's take it out and test and start all over.

Thanks,
Bobby

Try bypassing the power switch on the case and just short it with a
screwdriver to see if it triggers power. Always test the board outside of
the case to see if it powers up in case of a grounding issue.

Hey,

I took my daughter's old m/b , cpu, psu, ram and all and was putting it into
another case to make a low powered server.

I have everything hooked up (I believe). The m/b power light glows, but
when I press the power button, nothing happens. No fans spin up or
anything.

Before I take it all apart to try again, does anyone have any suggestions on
what I could check or try?

BTW, I had asked earlier about putting on Windows Server 2008 R2. Turns out
I can't since this is a 32-bit P4. 2008 R2 is only 64-bit.

Thanks,

Bobby
