Please report back after your hand's-On test. I may get one and rip the
hd out of my current
Intel "Free Agent" enclosure. I'd like to use it to back up my NAS
(raid1, 2x500GB).
I have a spare 500GB drive sitting idle ATM......since I retrofitted my
NAS..... :)

I have one; been very happy with it. It's hooked to a lappy and have my
swap file on it, among other things.
Also have an PATA version I don't use any more.
