All,
Thanks. I will now go investigate!

Greg-Agree, really odd psu problem. Can give this up to the m/b,
with or without 'cap' troubles. It is a CUBX; 12+yrs old.

Steve-I will check the m/b caps as I check/recheck the psu
power plug.

FORC5-GotzIt! And, sorta where I lean. This psu was suspect 6 mo.
ago anyway when I did a swap with another 'old' client. Think it
Suspect out of warranty; no harm, no foul! Not sure yet! ....... :)

Joshua-Understand. Without taking the psu apart, I do not know
which AC input wire the 1/0 switch is on. I always suspect it will
be the black (hot) wire. That leaves ground (grn) and ACneutral
(white) always connected to the wall.

I'll go dig. Perhaps I plan another Viking Funeral! Perfect Day!
If so, a new machine is in the future!
Thank you,
Duncan

Even if there aren't any blown caps, with the information provided, I'd
suspect the motherboard first. It certainly could be a power supply, but
that would be a pretty weird failure for a PSU that seems to work fine
otherwise.

Check the Motherboard for swollen caps. I had a system that did
something similar and that was the reason. This particular system would
power on via the switch but could never reboot, you had to shut down
first.
Other than that, swap out the power supply and see what happens.
