Which 'crimper' did you scan at MonoPrice?
I have done crimping.
But, 8 wires is a real challenge for me.

Yes I agree the good crimping tools are quite expensive ! However if
you are going to be making up or repairing network cables often, good
tools are a lifetime investment.
