Does anyone on this list have experience with Brother laser printers?
I feel the need to play '20 questions.' I seem to be caught between Brother Tech Support and Microsoft. I am very confused about why! Situation: Had a power outage at 0800 Friday morning. Power came back on at ~0815. My UPS handled all clients. The Printer was NOT on a UPS (due to comments here and by APC - high in-rush currents). None of my clients can print to this printer.......... The client Print Spooler shows a print failure of "Printer Busy or Error" whenever I try to print a Test Page or doc from any/all clients. I am considering a Factory Reset of the printer (HL-5370DW). I am considering a F/W update to the printer, BUT, ........... I do NOT know what this update will update. The Printer reports a ROM version of 1.18. The print server in the printer (NC-6800h) displays f/w v1.04. My magic wand, light saber, and, bag of printer experience are empty! Thanks, Duncan
