JRS,
YES, I can get the printer to print its' 3-page business any time I wish.
Yes, I can log into this printer via HTTP (browser) and get it to print whatever I
choose.
NO. I can NOT get LAN Clients to print on this printer. After power came back there
was zero connection to the printer from any client.
Looked like, "You're old TCP/IP standard port connection is now croaked."
(OK, but, why? None of my clients shut down during the power
outage! Only the printer shut OFF!

FINE. I have deleted all of the client's ports.
Fine. I have admin'd the printer and changed its' IP address.

The bad/weird news is that now WinXP Port Wizard pops up a 'new' window that says "the device (print server?) is of unknown type" when I select Brother Print
Server. This 'new' second wizard window in now constant on all clients.

I can play the window (standard) and select "Brother Print Server" to complete the
port installation. Fine. No joy! Can not print a test page or any doc.

Should I change the new window to "Custom" I am greeted by stuff I sort of recognize, but, I no not enough to even dable with it ATM. Stuff like protocols of RAW or LPR, and, what looks like an assignment of port 9100 for this client to speak to the printer via the
Windows Firewall (which I do use).
Sorry, still very confused.

BTW, Brother Tech Support declined further answers because I now get this 'new' wizard screen when I try to create a Standard TCP/IP Port. The Brother response is that
I now need to speak with Microsoft, quite curtly!

I've always known that Printers would be my nemesis!
If only because I spent 30+ yrs working with them..................... :)
HTH,
Duncan

Obviously you printed a self test page from the printer itself to make sure
nothing got damaged in the power surge/outage?
