Well, technically OSX can run on quite a lot of hardware. It breaks the license
agreement, but who cares (businesses obviously, but not enthusiasts)? There's a
thriving "hackintosh" community.

That's probably the most compelling thing you've said. The apple haters still
really rely on "them" not being like "us". See the recent Samsung ads. Of
course. I can't really say I understand this point though. Look around any
college campus. I'd say easily ~70% of all the computers students are using are
Macs. Maybe it's the Mac/PC is more a generational thing? Though on the
otherhand, I remember seeing some clips from a FreeBSD convention a few years
ago, and a very large number of people there were using Mac laptops.

I'm not going to get into lumping computers users into cultural categories (ie,
anyone who chooses to buy Apple hardware is a koolaid drinking prius driving
hipster who) because I think it's ridiculous. I use Windows computers daily,
Mac computers by choice, and use FreeBSD/OpenBSD on my servers by choice.
FreeBSD users look down on you all :) I _personally_ believe that Macs offer a
better user experience than Windows (I would also say that Macs offer a better
experience for system administrators!), but I would not presume to tell anybody
else they're idiots for using PCs...
