Just a couple of thoughts to add to my original post, which I sent to Noreen Wachs at AJL. She forwarded it to the list, for which I am grateful - I wasn't sure if it was a private complaint, or something better suited for general discussion.
I do see that the 4th sunday-wed in June intereferes with the ALA convention, would could be difficult, but that week would still keep out of the way of most people's summer vacations. But I would love to see AJL membership polled as to the most convenient conference times. Or to have the issue brought up a council agenda item for future consideration.. Is there a method to submitting items for the Council meeting? How many of you go to the ALA convention? And if you had to make a choice between ALA and AJl, which convention would you attend?
