Hi Eileen, Raisel's Riddle by Erica Silverman is a Jewish version of the Cinderella story that might work for you.
Sheryl Stahl's suggestion of "It Could Always Be Worse" by Margot Zemach or "Could Anything Be Worse" by Marilyn Hirsch (two books with rabbis in them) would work if you used one book with the rabbi and another with a "wise person" (and not a shetl village)--like: It's too Noisy! I have been looking through my sources, but am having trouble finding something, so I am turning to you. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Eileen Polk, Librarian Prentis Memorial Library Temple Beth El Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301
