Hi Kuwait,
If you cannot see your files at the file dialog, you could try one of
the two things:
1) At the file dialog, select "All files" at the "Files of Type"
2) Add your file extension in HDFView at "Tools"->"User Options"
If you can select the file but the file does not show in HDFView, the file
may be corrupted. Try as Roger suggested.
Could you also try the example files at $YOUR_HDFVIEW_HOME/samples?
Make sure that HDFView works on your machine.
