Anu Engineer commented on HDFS-12740:
-------------------------------------
Sorry to comment this late, can some please tell me what happens if I have an
SCM, I run --init command against it, and then that SCM restarts? From the
patch, I see we are generating a UUID but I don't see any persistence. Is that
part of some other JIRA?
> SCM should support a RPC to share the cluster Id with KSM and DataNodes

> When the ozone cluster is first Created, SCM --init command will generate
> cluster Id as well as SCM Id and persist it locally. The same cluster Id and
> the SCM id will be shared with KSM during the KSM initialization and
> Datanodes during datanode registration.
