Okay, with that in mind, I'll put a strip of tape down each mid-panel joint and split it with a razor into two. That will let those roof panels fold. On the playa, I'll be able to slide a 6" piece of PVC into the two [now] 3" wide tape anchors.
For the tape anchors over the corners, I'm a little curious what they look like by default. To me, it seems like if you just drag tape over the corner, the tape would tent over that point, and that might cause some undue stress on the corner. I tried a few picture searches to see how others have done it but didn't see much about the anchors. Most people are more interested in other aspects of their Hexayurts. Seen any pictures of the tape anchors? Specifically, the ones over the corners.
