The tape-anchors had to be created ahead of time. They also had to fold. All of the tape anchors were made using a 2-3" wide length of tape on each side of each seam which let us ship the anchors folded in half. We tried a few different versions. The anchors that worked best were split about 9" above the edge of the roof with the PVC tube hanging 3" below the roofline. They were free-floating from that 9" mark down to the roofline, and that let them find their own natural position when used. During setup, we slid the 6" lengths of PVC into them which made them rigid. I considered threading rope through the PVC tubes, but using trucker tie-downs proved to be the most expedient way to finish setup. The tie-downs had 1" hooks that fit snugly over the 1" PVC right through the split in the tape. Tightened them up on the first day. Retightened them the next day after the Hexayurt settled. They were firm after that. We used ten anchors, skipping the two anchors between the two halves of the roof. -Joshua/Kerosene --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hexayurt" group.
