Sounds good. Definitely test the spray adhesive and mylar on scrap pieces if you can.
In my experiments with Super 77 and nylon, I found that even indoors, the adhesive unglued itself over time. This may have been a result of the porous nature of the nylon, which allowed adhesive to escape from the surfaces therefore not providing enough stick. Your wood veneers might have the same effect. If they do, I'd recommend using silicone or contact cement (something more 'gluey' and not so 'spray-ey'). Spray adhesive is also quite expensive, and can be a little wasteful as it sprays all over the place (when compared to a can and brush of cement, or big dollop of silicone).
