That is my exact worry. I'm strongly considering adding 3/4" EMT pipe to one long edge of each panel. It's very light and cheap and would prevent the panels from deforming or collapsing at the seams. Would love to hear some thoughts about this! http://www.homedepot.com/p/Allied-Tube-Conduit-3-4-in-x-10-ft-Electric-Metallic-Tube-Conduit-101550/100400406?N=5yc1vZbohl <https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1an7MJj4Bvo/U9GQ1LHIQ4I/AAAAAAAAE_8/f2PfQZr55DQ/s1600/d733ed0f-09df-4a4d-abc5-1106d3241357_400.jpg> *@DanBrown* Thank you SO MUCH for posting the pics and further solidifying my idea. I'm going to have two people sleeping in my yurt and a wider base allows for better bed placement since. Another positive side effect of narrower top is ease of roof attachment. I'm building a small L 4x4' shaped wooden frame which will just snap on top further assisting structural integrity and making installation a snap (pun intended). Also, the ropes can simply follow the wall line to the ground, and don't > need to be set away from them, as you can see on the back side. Thanks, that's a great point! *@Vinay Gupta* So on paper it's super efficient, but it's square. Is it just that there's > not a ton of walkable space inside? Lots of floor space with the roof above > it at sharp angles, that kind of thing? Paul Elkins has a few shots of the insides here http://www.elkinsdiy.com/stationary-shelters/pyramid-shelter/. I'm basically planing to put two beds in the corner so it wouldn't matter too much that the walls are slopped there. I'm 6'3" so it's important to me to be able to stand up inside, which this design accommodates neatly. <https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-mqBVHhoS1P0/U9GUXuAqu2I/AAAAAAAAFAI/DP-4abqRA7w/s1600/IMG_1896.jpg> Thanks you so much everyone for the time you took to reply!!
