Hi there, This year will be my first time in a Hexayurt (borrowing from a friend who is taking the year off) and while I'm excited I'm still nervous about putting it up on the playa. I've seen the videos (some easier to follow than others) and think I have the basics down (although the gaps confuse me a little) and have the tape arriving next week (four rolls of 60 yard 6" bifilament tape, 3 rolls of foil tape) , but the tape anchors looked super complicated so I was going to to go with the rope halo.
I see some people here mentioned using paracord, others mentioend rachet straps... I guess what's the best way to go for someone who doesn't know their knots, and is bringing the classic 4' x 8' sized panels. What size rope would you recommend? (Length and thickness.) Also, I was looking for U shaped rebar online but can't seem to find any (someone here mentioned a spot called Playa Staples but they're full on their orders for this year, unfortunately.)
