Thanks for the info... I've been making bagpipes for many years now as a hobby
and the pipes have been put down since a carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand
a few years ago. The last two fingers on my right hand dont like the constant
fingering needed to play the lower hand on the pipes. I still make and play but
not very often.....

I spent a while trying to find an instrument that I could play that could
free up my right hand from constant fingering and luckily I found the Hurdy
Gurdy..

So far I've made a simple hurdy gurdy from Brian Tolleys book and
surprisingly by following the instructions the instrument is in tune but its
just something to play around with or let a kid mess with , It's not a serious
players instrument.

Right now I'm working on a diatonic Symphonie model from plans I got from
David Kronberg and that's where I'm at now...

I would like to find some nice plans for a chromatic set that I can build for
my wife so we can play together when I get my new set, so if anybody knows of
good proven plans that I could get somewhere that has a flat back please shoot
me a line...

I thought about buying a kit from Musikmakers and modifying it but from what
I've heard it's not a good Idea...

  Cheers, Seth

Het Kliekske witch means something like “the small group”
The book is known to me and I made my first hg out of it.
The description however of the building of a hg is only some 5 pages….
Yes it is possible to make a hg from it but it is certainly not a beginners
job without any assistance…
If wanted I can help ….
