This is one of my favorite slow Uilleann tunes... Will I be able to play this
on a gurdy tuned to C/G..... Seth

I would recommend D/G for Irish etc tunes. Most of them are in the range from
D up to a or b. I play most of my irish stuff on wooden flute or northumbrian
pipes, which both have a bottom note of D, so stuff crosses over very easily
when i try it on the 'gurdy.
My previous 'gurdy was a G/C and i found i was jumping octaves way too often.

hope this helps

derek
