I've used PayPal for purchasing recordings from England and from France, as
well as items from e-bay. I've never had a problem with international commerce.

Subject: [HG] Paypal in Europe: off-topic, but HG related

Hi all,

Does anyone on the list in Europe use PayPal to receive funds from
customers? I need to send some money to an individual in Hungary and
I have not used PayPal internationally before. He needs to get a
PayPal account, but can anyone tell me if there are any hidden
worries or issues with using PayPal to move funds from the U.S. to
European countries? On paper it looks like the cheapest payment
solution by far. A bank transfer will have charges of $60 minimum
(perhaps more: my bank couldn't even say for sure), which in this
case makes moving funds pointless, while PayPal would require
something along the lines of $5 for the same amount. My only worry
without experience in this particular situation is that there are
issues I don't know about.

Anyone with any suggestions? I'm sure this would be relevant to any
of the European makers if they wanted to accept PayPal.

Thanks,

Arle
