I use paypal all the time to receive payments for cds, I have also had a royalty payment from a US record company, all without problem. I have also made purchases. the only problems I can see are paying transactions charges on amounts below £50 [GBP]. I also think that there is a limit on how much you can withdraw in one day, plus when you do withdraw it can take 5 to 7 days to reach your account. This is presumably how paypal make their money, ie 5 days interest. Philip

I need to send some money to an individual in Hungary and I have not used PayPal internationally before. He needs to get a PayPal account, but can anyone tell me if there are any hidden worries or issues with using PayPal to move funds from the U.S. to European countries? On paper it looks like the cheapest payment solution by far. A bank transfer will have charges of $60 minimum (perhaps more: my bank couldn't even say for sure), which in this case makes moving funds pointless, while PayPal would require something along the lines of $5 for the same amount. My only worry without experience in this particular situation is that there are issues I don't know about. Anyone with any suggestions? I'm sure this would be relevant to any of the European makers if they wanted to accept PayPal. Thanks, Arle Philip G Martin aka Drohne www.drohne.co.uk
