Hello Douwe, In regard to your search for symphony plans you may want to check out David Kronbergs set of plans, he has no web site that I can find but you can see them here:www.ehhs.cmich.edu/~dhavlena/hg-dk.htm or just google his name. Some advice, a small hg symphony will sound "stringy", and the smallest I have seen has a chanter string length of 335mm, add to that the tunning pegs, nut, wheel assy and bridge and you still have a good size instrument. This symphony did not have a good "voice"...... If you are going to build and put the money and time into the instrument go for a proven design, if its a little large now, believe me your child will grow into it quickly if she likes it!! Oh yes! thank you for your offer to help translate my Swedish manual, it is for the Hungarian style hg, 32 page long manual, its the wood working terms that my translator is having problems with. The lira/nupa (ukrainan) is done and finish will go on this weekend. It is a copy of the style that Andrey Vinogradov plays on YouTube, very nice. Contact me off the group if I can be of help.
