I am still very much at 'square one' getting to know my new gurdy, teaching myself a few tunes, and learning the habit of tuning the beast. Can anyone recommend a specific electronic tuner that works well with gurdies? I bought a nice small portable one but it is pretty useless - the needle is all over the map when I play any open string on the gurdy - I assume because of the resonances?? I think in the meantime I will just buy a GC pitch pipe. Also - I am still very interested in networking with other gurdy players in the southeast, (Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, Asheville...) perhaps getting some lessons?
