Well the NV in Op4 appears to be different than all the tuts you see around for it. As best as i can tell they effectivly had a temp light originating at the player illuminating the area around them. Then they had a HUD overlay combined with a slight screenfade. In my opinion is was a failry basic way aroun dthe problem since I've seen the NV effect done far better.
