OpFor uses a dlight call to illuminate the area around the player.

TAE does this also, just its client side unlike OpFor.  However you need
to check the light around the player for it to be realistic, as NV
magnifies the light around the player, they usually wont work in pitch
black.

Well the NV in Op4 appears to be different than all the tuts you see
around for it. As best as i can tell they effectivly had a temp light
originating at the player illuminating the area around them. Then they
had a HUD overlay combined with a slight screenfade. In my opinion is
was a failry basic way aroun dthe problem since I've seen the NV effect
done far better.

Have alook around almost any HL code site for one of several ways to do
NV.
