I spent some time playing Half-Life2 last night. I thought it might be several days before I would be able to get authorized on Steam, but it only took me about 5 or 10 minutes to get though. The content took a little while to unlock (I had the Special Edition DVD), but after about 10-15 minutes, I was ready to play.
I haven't gotten that far into the game yet (I played about 2 hours or so last night), but I really like what I've seen so far. Up until now, my favorite game of all time in terms of gameplay, storyline, and interactivity with the world was Duke Nukem 3D. Half-Life2 has definitely surpassed that in all areas. Actually, it has blown EVERYTHING else away!
Valve, I'd just like to say, "You guys and gals TOTALLY ROCK!"
Excellent game. Well worth the money spent on it and well worth the time waiting for it.
I can't wait for Half-Life3! :)
