tony's supposition is right - the version of the lightmapped generic
shader in the sdk won't work with this. it should show up on models, as
the screenshots indicate,
if you have the helper objects for lights turned on, pick the
non-raytraced mode, and if your graphics card is fancy enough.

Also, I'd be curious about any feedback on the speed of the new vrad.
