Well I doubt they are gonna do a release of the current version that runs on steam, since this might give some interesting things away about the interfacing with the Steam service, although several parts of that are obviously known to some people anyways already. I'd guess we'd all be suprised about the changes and the extensions they have made to H-L and the mods compared to the pre-steam version (i.e just to mention the way the game window is created etc.).
Or to say it with other words: many things have happened since the last HLSDK patch (p3). Having the source would have made coding the sound export for MDT much easier though, since it would have been easier to spot the differecnces from the Quake 1 source code (how they extended it to 22.025 kHz 16 Bit Stereo). What I wanted to say is you can at least get some hints from the Quake 1 sources and some other stuff floating around the net. I think especially the source code of CS 1.6 would be interesting for the CS Pro Mod team. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Neuwirth Christoph" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 18, 2007 7:53 PM Subject: [hlcoders] Half-life 1 Engine source
