I've never heard of such a thing, and I'd be quick to doubt its legitimacy. Doesn't
mean it doesn't exist, but... Sheesh. Do you happen to have any examples? I'd be
interested to find what hardware causes problems with PB.

That's completely up to the server op. I have all my cvar notices set to be logged
only. Players aren't even notified.

It's an extremely small/light program that can sit idle in your systemtray without any
noticeable impact on system performance or resources. I have it in my startup folder
with the +HID argument so I never even bother with it. If I join a server with PB
running, great. If not, no big deal.

Wow, that sounds pretty cool. Does this work for mods other than TFC, especially CS?
