I got a funnier problem

I'm using creative's new Audigy card with a live drive and a Microsoft game
voice. I can record normally using the sound recorder. I can also use
netmeeting auto tuning perfectly with no problems. When I run the Valve's
sound tweak, I hear myself perfectly. But once I enter a game and press
TAB, I don't see a speaker icon. Naturally I can't talk during the game.
Anybody know how to fix this problem ?

doing the voice setup in the game portion sounded strange so I tested it
with just the windows and it was ok. It sounds strange on some guys
machines I think it is the mic they are using the cheaper ones do not like
the 20DB gain set.
