I HAVE A SOLUTION FOR MOST, sound card users sound blaster users anyhow..

for some of you, if you goto control panel then SYSTEM then hardware then go
to multimedia and open up

Sound Blaster blah blha..  (etc)..

in the settings options there may be a E<MULATOR option that is ticked..
this a cpommon bug with mnewer sound cards it  causes them to not work full
duplex which is your problems on hl btw..

i cant guarantee anything but if you try messing with optionds in there it
should work :-)    i did..  i hav a SB 128 PCI...  its called  Legacy
Emulatoin  that i unticked..
