actually if you buy HL you already HAVE the real thing. The stand alone
server download is for people who dont want to by the client yet run the
server. IOW, it is the "full" hlds, it just comes with more stuff (like
single player game content), that's all. What can't I do with the retail
version of hlds that comes with HL that I can do with the download version
(aside from the linux differences obviously)?
