Do you think that it just may be that seti@home was developed more for the
windows 9x/ME systems and not the w2k systems?  Besides, I highly doubt you
can use that as a test.  Especially, when there are many, many w2k servers
running services and applications that haven't had any memory or resource
problems for over 2 years.

Although, I still wouldn't recommend running HLDS on win9x/ME.  I couldn't
tell ya about XP Home edition as I haven't tested anything lower than XP
professional.
