I wouldn't waste my time making a kz_ map. I prefer maps with
substance and themes...but anyway, if you wish to debate this further lets
keep it off list so the flames don't begin. 8)
Now I have made some fy_ style maps (which are essentially the same as kz_,
just no leaks. These maps were successful, although one in particular had
some horrendous r_speeds (th_cqb_arena), none of the maps had memory leaks
of any consequence.
Again, kz_ maps are fun, but waste a LOT of resources. But to be fair, I
will design a kz_ map, one with a good solid hull and lots of clipping (that
way the r_speeds are low). When I compile it I'll look for the cause of the
leak. But to be honest, look at how most kz_ maps came out all at the same
time, they were rushed, because they were new, and they are flawed as a
result. Give me a few days to get the map made and textured. I'll post a
link to it on the hlmappers list in a few days (btw, that list would be a
more appropriate place to debate this). Regarding map size....there are many
huge maps in cs/dod/tfc/etc. None of those eat as many resources (nor have
memory leaks) as bad as kz_ style maps. If you require further info, I'll be
on the hlmappers list. 8)
