Richard,
That is such an extreme and obnoxious answer. Top Posting is the easiest
way for people who are reading these messages as the come in, its much
easier for me to go through the individual messages and read the top
paragraph or two than to have to go inside each email and scroll to the
bottom -- WAKE UP, EMAIL IS SENT ON A VERY REGULAR BASIS, BOTTOM POSTING WAS
GOOD FOR WHEN YOUR CONNECTIONS WERE SLOW AND YOU COULD SELECT THE MOST
RECENT EMAIL AS THE ONE TO DOWNLOAD AND READ.
Yikes, I feel much better but am sure that I've offended someone, appologies
in advance.
Regards,
Bud Ingram

that's funny, always been 'reply at top with quote under' as long as I
can remember, which is well over 12 years now. Makes it much faster to
read. You read from the top down, so, new info at the top, with
reference material under it if you need it for context.

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?
You'll find that text in _many_ mailing list FAQs.
All the mailing lists I read, except for this one where anything goes,
replying below quoted text is the Right Way.
ironchef's suggestions are good - I propose those stupid [hlds] type
strings in the subject be removed too.
btw, is something removing the space after the -- before a sig?
